A walk-off left Spring Hill Panthers Varsity on the wrong end of a 3-1 defeat to North Lamar on Thursday. The game was tied at one with North Lamar batting in the bottom of the ninth when Asay homered on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
The pitching was strong on both sides. North Lamar pitchers struck out eight, while Spring Hill Panthers Varsity sat down 13.
Spring Hill Panthers Varsity got things moving in the first inning.
In the bottom of the second inning, North Lamar tied things up at one when Walters doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Lester got the win for North Lamar. He allowed one hit and zero runs over two-thirds of an inning, walking zero.
Trent Gregson took the loss for Spring Hill Panthers Varsity. He allowed one hit and two runs walking one.

Ryan Lepire, Colin Martin, Logan Avant, and Caden Noah each collected one hit to lead Spring Hill Panthers Varsity. Spring Hill Panthers Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jonas Roberts had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
Walters went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead North Lamar in hits.
