The Panther soccer team made it a clean sweep going 4-0 in the Tatum Invitational Soccer Tournament and wining 1st place by beating Atlanta 5-0. It was slow going in the first half with the Rabbits defending with 9 players as the Panthers tried to break through. Spring Hill was fortunate with their first goal as an Atlanta defender’s clearance from a Chandler Thaden cross. Spring Hill played more aggressively in the second half with a steady tailwind at their back. Thaden added to the score with an assist from Hunter Martin. The Panthers put the game out of reach with 2 more goals from Manuel Flores and Efren Barcenas. Spring Hill finished the tournament finishing with 14 goals in favor and only 2 against. Four Panthers were selected to the All-Tournament Team: defender Hunter Martin,, midfielders Manuel Flores and Chandler Thaden, and forward Efren Barcenas. Spring Hill will be back in action as they travel to Chapel Hill on Tuesday for a 6:00pm kickoff.
