The Spring Hill Panther Powerlifting team traveled to Bullard High School to compete in their fourth and final meet this past week. The Panthers put on an impressive showing with multiple athletes placing. The following lifter placed in the top five of their weight classes. Oscar Gallegos finished 5th with a total weight of 1070. Jacob Kimbrough placed 4th with a total weight of 1040. Carson Manasse placed 3rd with a total weight of 1350. Vaughan Bufkin took home gold and 1st place with a total weight of 1300. Renee Petree finished 3rd in her weight class with a total weight of 540. Rachel Petree took home the gold and 1st place with a total weight of 710. This was the final regular season meet for Spring Hill but the following athletes will be moving on to the Regional Qualifier meet to compete for a possible state qualification next month. The following boys will be traveling to Malifoff on March 2nd to compete in the Regional Qualifier meet: Vaughan Bufkin, Carson Manasse, and Tanner Cornell. Rachel Petree will be traveling to Fairfield on March 3rd to compete in her Regional Qualifier. The Spring Hill Powerlifting team took amazing strides this year and continued to add new personal records even through the last meet. These athletes continue to build onto the Spring Hill legacy #BTH.
