The goal for the freshman this year was to win a district championship and that is what they did. Unfortunately, they had to share it with Gilmer. In the final game of the season, Spring Hill had their worst outing and worst shooting performance. Credit Gilmer’s freshman as they played a great game and had an answer for every defense Spring Hill ran. Spring Hill’s Freshman finish the year with an impressive 18-3 record, losing only one scheduled game all season. The other two losses came by tournament matchups against tough 5A schools.
Tyrese Jones was Spring Hill’s leading scorer despite all the attention from Gilmer’s defense. Jones had 14 total, knocking down four treys. Aaron Collier had 6 points, 4 of which from the free throw line. Colin Martin had 5 points, Austin Rodgers hit a trey and Curtis dropped two free throws.
