Meet Recap

Today your Panthers took on the Terrell Tigers for their four match for the Fall Season. Here are the results from today’s matches.

Starting with Girl’s Doubles, at #1 doubles, Emmaline Nichols and Grace Gee added one more win to their record by taking down the Tigers #1 team Courtney Roseberry/Valeria Valenzuela 6-1, 7-5. Bringing their doubles record to 4-0. At #2, Brooklyn White and Allie Robinett took down the #2 Tigers Sabrina Rayes/Daphne Thompson 6-0, 6-1. This brings Brooklyn’s doubles record to 3-1 and Allie’s record to 2-1. At #3 doubles Logan McKelvey and Alyssa Miller teamed up to take down Terrell’s #3 Casey Roach/Katelynn O’Rally 6-1, 6-1. This brings Logan’s doubles record to 1-0 and Alyssa’s record to 2-2.

The Boys swept through Terrell, winning all three lines. At #1 Dawson Penn and Micah Moore took down Austin and Preston Harris 6-0, 6-0. This brings Dawson’s doubles record to 2-0 and Micah’s record to 4-0. #2 Carson McNabb and Alston Massey took on the Tigers Luis Cruz/Diego Armenderiz and won 6-0, 6-1. This brings Carson’s doubles record to 3-1 and Alston’s record to 3-1. Tyler Chapman and Collin Castleberry played #3 doubles and took on Josh Lara/Esteban Hipolito. They played a close first set but ultimately won the match 7-5, 6-0. This brings Tyler’s doubles record to 3-1 and Collin’s 1-0.

Kavin Patel and Maz Morton continue to dominate at Mixed Doubles by defeating Kevin Roy/Paige Clark 6-0, 6-1. This brings Kavin’s doubles record to 4-0 and Maz’s record to 3-1.

In Girl’s Singles, #1 Emmaline Nichols continues her winning streak to 4-0 in singles by beating Terrell’s #1 Courtney Roseberry 8-1. #2 Grace Gee adds a win to her singles record to 2-2 by taking down Valeria Valenzuela 8-0. #3 Maz Morton defeated Terrell’s Daphne Thompson winning 8-0 to bring her singles record to 3-1. #4 Brooklyn White took down the Tiger’s Sabrina Rayes 8-1 to bring her record to 3-1. #5 Logan McKelvey battled it out against #5 Casey Roach from Terrell to win 8-4, bringing her singles record to 3-1. #6 Allie Robinett adds another win to her singles record by beating #6 Paige Clark 8-1 to bring her record to 3-1. Alyssa Miller played #7 singles against Angela Pittman, beating the Tiger 8-3 to bring her singles record to 1-1. Sophie Buckelew played #8 singles against Katelynn O’Rally to defeat her 8-0 to bring her singles record to 2-1.

#1 Dawson Penn added to his singles record by defeating the Tiger #1 Austin Harris 8-0, bringing his singles record to 2-0. #2 Kavin Patel continues to dominate in singles by beating the Tiger’s #2 Preston Harris 8-0, bringing his singles record to 4-0. #3 Micah Moore defeated #3 Luis Cruz 8-2, bringing his singles record to 3-1. #4 Carson McNabb took on the Tiger’s #4 Diego Armendariz and won 8-1, this brings his singles record to 3-1. #5 Alston Massey went up against #5 Kevin Roy and defeated him 8-3, bringing his singles record 3-1. #6 Collin Castleberry played his first singles match of the season and went up against the Tiger’s #6 Esteban Hipolito defeating him 8-0. This brings his singles record to 1-0. Tyler Chapman played #7 singles against Terrell’s Josh Lara and played a close match but Chapman was able to close out the match, winning 8-6. This brings Chapman’s singles record 3-1.

The Panthers defeated the Terrell Tigers 19-0! Next Tuesday, the Panthers will travel to Hallsville to take on the Bobcats!

Meet Recap

This past Tuesday your Spring Hill Varsity Tennis Team took on the Nacogdoches Dragons in their third match of the season.

Starting with Boy’s Doubles, Dawson Penn and Micah Moore made quick work at #1 doubles against the Dragons winning their match 8-2. At #2 Carson McNabb and Alston Massey started out down in the match but broke the dragon’s serve to win the match 8-4. Tyler Chapman and Jacob Couch took on the Dragon’s #3 doubles team and swept through the match winning 8-0.

In Girl’s Doubles, Emmaline Nichols and Grace Gee started strong and stayed strong as they took down the Dragon’s #1 doubles team 8-2. At #2 Brooklyn White and Allie Robinett teamed up for the first time this season and took down the Dragon’s 8-1. Alyssa Miller and Sophie Buckelew played #3 but the dragon’s had to default the match due to not having enough players.

Also playing their first match together, Kavin Patel and Maz Morton played the mixed doubles spot and made quick work of the dragon’s team, winning the match 8-3.

Your Panther’s swept through doubles giving the team a 7-0 lead against the dragons.

At #1 Boys Singles, Dawson Penn making his return to the Spring Hill Courts, took down the Dragon’s #1 Josh Roy 6-1, 6-1. #2 Kavin Patel continued his winning streak in singles by taking on #2 Evan Leonard, making his singles record for the season 3-0. #3 Micah Moore played a tight match against #3 Brandon Smith from Nacogdoches but took the match 6-3, 2-6, (10-6) making his singles record 2-1. #4 Carson McNabb went up against #4 Jackson Tate and took the match winning 6-4, 6-4 making his singles record 2-1. #5 Alston Massey made quick work of the Dragon’s #5 Brennon Heath, winning 6-0, 6-0 bringing his singles record to 2-1. #6 Tyler Chapman also made quick work of the Dragon’s #6 player, Jose Almendare, wining in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1 bringing his record to 2-1 for the season. Playing #7 singles was freshman Jake Couch. He took on the Dragon’s Cameron Daniels playing a close match that went to a tiebreaker, but Couch was able to pull off the win, wining 9-8 (7-3).

Emmaline Nichols played #1 and took on #1 Katie Coutee of the Dragons and swept through the match wining 6-0, 6-0 bringing her singles record to 3-0. #2 Grace Gee got her first singles win for the season, beating the Dragon’s #2 Rebecca Pham 6-4, 6-3 to bring her singles record to 1-2. #3 Maz Morton stepped onto the court ready to play and took down the #3 Lawren Brasher 6-1, 6-0 bringing her singles record to 2-1. #4 Brooklyn White flew through her match, not giving her opponent any chance to get into the match, wining 6-0, 6-0 bringing her singles record to 2-1. #5 Allie Robinett took on #5 Rachel Derr, making quick work of her opponent, wining 6-1, 6-1 to make her singles record 2-1. #6 Logan McKelvey took on the Dragon’s #6 Carmen Jorden and made quick work by wining 8-1, bringing her singles record to 2-1.

Meet Recap

This past Saturday, Spring Hills Varsity Tennis team took on the Rockwall Yellow Jackets for their second match of the season.

Starting with Boys Doubles, at #1 Kavin Patel/Micah Moore took on Will Brown/Hdam Mathyra and brought in the first win of the afternoon winning 8-5. At #2 Carson McNabb/Alston Massey played against Hayes Hill/Andy O’Donnell and battled hard against them but lost 2-8. at #3 doubles, Tyler Chapman/Brody Barnhill battled against Andrew Daymah/Rodriguez but lost 1-8 to the Yellow Jackets.

In Girls Doubles, your Lady Panthers had two comeback wins against the Yellow Jackets. At #1 Emmaline Nichols/Grace Gee came back from being down 1-6 to win the match 9-7. At #2 Brookyln White/Maz Morton were down 4-6 and battled back to win 8-6 against the Lady Jackets. At #3 doubles, Alyssa Miller/Sophie Buckelew battled hard against the Yellow Jackets but lost 1-8.

At Mixed Doubles, Allie Robinett and Jake Couch took on Hogan/Brown and battled hard but lost 1-8.

In Boys Singles all players battled against the Yellow Jackets, #1 Kavin Patel won his match 8-1, #2 Micah Moore lost 0-8, #3 Carson McNabb lost 2-8, #4 Alston Massey lost 2-8, #5 Tyler Chapman lost 0-8, and #6 Jake Couch lost 3-8.

The Lady Panthers rallied hard against the Lady Yellow Jackets but #1 Emmaline Nichols won 8-4, #2 Grace Gee lost 3-8, #3 Maz Morton lost 4-8, #4 Brooklyn White lost 2-8, #5 Allie Robinett lost 1-8, and #6 Logan McKelvey lost 3-8.

Your Panthers battled hard this weekend against Arlington High winning 14-4 and falling to Rockwall 5-14. This makes the Panthers 1-1 so far this season. Come out Tuesday, 8/15/17, as your Varsity Tennis Team takes on Nacogdoches HS at 2 pm here at Spring Hill!

Meet Recap

This past Saturday, your Varsity Tennis Team traveled to Canton High School and took on Arlington High School and Rockwall High School for their first matches of the Fall Season.

The Panthers took on the Arlington High Colts for their first match of the season. The boys swept doubles quickly with wins from Patel/Moore winning 8-0 against Elijah Thomas/Daniel Stoyak, McNabb/Massey winning 8-3 against Michael Stoyak/David Holmes, and Chapman/Palmer winning 8-0 against Jayce Perry/Diego Campuzano. Emmaline Nichols and Grace Gee played #1 doubles for the girls side and won their match 8-3 against the Colts. Brooklyn White and Maz Morton played #2 doubles and Alyssa Miller and Sophie Buckelew played #3 doubles, both teams battled hard against the Colts but both teams lost 6-8. The Panthers lead 4-2 after doubles finished up.

For boys singles, the Panthers had wins from #1 Kavin Patel (8-0), #2 Micah Moore (8-1), #3 Carson McNabb (8-0), #4 Alston Massey (8-0), and #5 Tyler Chapman (8-1), playing in his first varsity match, #6 Dallan Palmer battled a close match against Diego Campuzano but lost in a tiebreaker 5-7.

Just like the boys, the girls also dominated in singles against the Colts. #1 Emmaline Nichols, winning her first varsity match 8-5, #2 Grace Gee lost a close match against Anni Burgdorf 6-8, #3 Maz Morton, a freshman getting her first varsity win, 8-2, #4 Brooklyn White battling against a tough opponent was able to break Giselle Glass’s serve to win 8-6, #5 Allie Robinett also played a close match against Ursula Pierce but was able to close out the match 8-6, and #6 Logan McKelvey won her match 8-4 against Molly Tinkle.

This gave the Panthers their first win of the season, winning 14-4.
