—SHJH Athletics Update  (Athletics Information and This Week’s Award Recipients)

**Hello to all, our 7 on 7 Tournament in Gilmer has been cancelled due to the inclement weather. So sorry for any inconvenience, we really hoped to get this played. Our next 7 on 7 competition will be our Piney Woods games on May 20th.

**We continue to work hard and achieve valuable gains in off season! We are very proud of all of our student athletes for their hard work and dedication!! As we enter the summer months it is very important for our student athletes to continue their progress as their sports seasons will arrive very soon. I have attached the summer workout registration form. You can return this with your child before we leave for summer break. This is a tremendous opportunity to reach our full potential!

**We are also excited to announce that we will have a picture banner reveal Pep Rally on May 16th at 3:15-4:00 at the JH gym. This is going to be a special time when we celebrate the accomplishments of our girls and boys teams for their sports seasons. We will have each girl and boy team share special moments as we recognize them for their seasons. We will also reveal the picture banners for some of our teams that had extraordinary accomplishments within their seasons. There will be a lot of fun and memories to share for the hard work and dedication of our student athletes!  We definitely encourage all parents and family to attend! We also encourage all parents and family to help make this day special by getting involved with this celebration. Please contact your child’s coach with any ideas or contributions that you would like to make towards this. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!! We are excited about all of the wonderful accomplishments of our young men and women, and we look forward to the great things that they will achieve in the future! Because of our student athletes devotion towards excellence it is clear to see that the future looks bright in Panther Nation!!!

**I have sent out our SH Basketball Summer Camp Flyer. This is a great opportunity and we definitely encourage all of our athletes to be a part of this as well.

**Here is an announcement from Coach Billingslea regarding the physicals that we will have available on Thursday, May 16th. We definitely encourage all of our student athletes to get these completed as we offer a very low cost for this and it is a good way to get it done for the next school year and have peace of mind that your child is ready to go for 2019-2020. I have also included the easy parent tutorial on completing our online Athletic paperwork. This is an easy and effective process as everything is easy to access online. The medical history form and the physical form has been sent out via email. You can save time by completing the medical history form before you arrive for the physical Thank you for your valuable time, have a good week!
