Hello to all, we had another great week of off season and a very productive week of track! We are excited about the performances within our first track meet! Our athletes worked very hard to prepare and it showed. We are very proud of each and every one of our athletes!!
Our next track meet will be on Tuesday, March 19th at Sabine HS. The start time is 3:30. I have included the directions below. Also, for all who are in town and can make it we will have track practice on Tuesday and Thursday of Spring Break week from 9:00 – 10:15 am at SH stadium. This will give us an opportunity to stay in good shape and ready for the upcoming track meet.
Here is a breakdown of what we are doing the week that we come back from Spring Break in order to organize and prepare our athletes for the meet on Tuesday.
Practice until 5:00.
-I will provide them with a track diagram sheet which shows the locations of each event as well as a schedule of events.
-I will also complete our lineup sheet with each event and athlete who is competing in those events. This will be posted in each locker room.
-Track uniforms will be given to each athlete who is competing in the meet.
** We will have an early release schedule from class in order to travel to Sabine. Our athletes have been instructed to obtain any assignments that they will miss.
**We will have extra snacks for our athletes but we do encourage them to bring their own healthy snacks and drinks as well.
**I will keep parents posted on departure time for our drive home after the track meet.
**Parents can sign their child out with Coach Hattier if they need to leave after their events are completed.
