Girls Varsity Softball · Softball Falls to Gilmer Despite Throwing Two-Hitter


Even though Spring Hill collected three hits to Gilmer’s two, they still fell 4-1 on Friday

Spring Hill got things moving in the first inning. Lacey White singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Gilmer pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Reanna Watson singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run and Samantha Schott threw a wild pitch allowing three runs across the plate for Gilmer.

Schott toed the rubber for Spring Hill. She surrendered four runs on two hits over six innings, striking out one.

White, Maddie Malloy, and Jayla Landrum all had one hit to lead Spring Hill.
