Sydney Johnson was dialed in at the plate on Friday, tallying four hits and leading Spring Hill to a 13-1 win over Chapel Hill. Johnson singled in the first, doubled in the second, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the seventh.

Spring Hill got things moving in the first inning, when Maddie Malloy grounded out, scoring Samantha Schott who led off with a single and advanced to 3rd base on an error. Johnson singled and advanced on a passed ball. Jayla Landrum then hit a HR over the left centerfield fence to push the score quickly to 3-0 in favor of visiting Spring Hill.

Sadie Sparks was on the mound for Spring Hill. She allowed three hits and one run over three innings, striking out two. Schott finished the game in relief.

Spring Hill had 16 hits in the game. Johnson, Sparks, Jayla Landrum, Malloy, and Lacey White each racked up multiple hits for Spring Hill, with Johnson going 4 for 5 at the plate.

Spring Hill (9-7-1, 3-1) hosts Kilgore on Tuesday at 6 pm.
