Spring Hill’s Kyren Miller and Tatum’s Essence Allen earned Basketball Player of the Week honors for  performances in games played Feb. 5-10.

Miller helped lead Spring Hill to a pair of wins and at least a share of the District 15-4A championship, averaging 20 points per contest and connecting on 10 3-pointers in wins over Chapel Hill and Kilgore.

On Friday, in a 50-49 win over Kilgore, Miller finished with 19 points, hitting 5 of 9 triples and going 5-for-5 from the free throw line. In a win over Chapel Hill, he knocked down five more treys and scored 21 points.

Spring Hill sits at 20-12 overall and 8-1 in the league race heading into tonight’s regular season finale at home against Gilmer (5-4). The Panthers can clinch the outright championship with a win.

Spring Hill’s Tyler Caron scored 22 points against Kilgore and dropped in 20 against Chapel Hill to help the Panthers go 2-0 for the week.
