HUNTINGTON â Spring Hill will head into a bye week and then into District 7-4A Division II play unbeaten on the heels of a 48-0 win over the Huntington Red Devils on Friday.
The Panthers (5-0) finished with 432 total yards â 225 rushing and 207 passing â and scored more than 40 points for the fourth time in five games this season.
A year ago, Spring Hill scored 206 points in 10 games. Through five games in 2017, the Panthers have outscored opponents 257-87.
The Panthers held Huntington to 191 total yards.
Kiante Stoker rushed for 130 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the way on the ground for Spring Hill. Zach Tulpa added 99 yards and a touchdown. Gage White complete 8 of 13 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns, with Dayson Adaway finishing with 118 receiving yards and one touchdown catch.
Spring Hill opened the scoring with 8:38 to play in the first quarter on a 50-yard run by Stoker. Less than three minutes later, Stoker scored his second TD of the night and Sprign Hill led 13-0 after the missed extra point.
Carson Fruge got the defense into the scoring fun in the second quarter with a 45-yard interception return for a score, and two minutes later Tulpa hauled in an 18-yard TD pass from White.
Adaway made it a 34-0 contest at the half when he snagged a 61-yard strike from White.
Daryn Beck scored on a 13-yard run in the third and added another rushing TD in the fourth to make the final 48-0.
Jarrell Stevens rushed for 92 yards in the loss for Huntington (1-4).
