Game Recap

The Spring Hill Panthers JV football team played the Huntington Red Devils at Panther Stadium Thursday night at 7pm. The Panthers came out swinging and making big plays all over the field. The first quarter had the Panthers defense swarming the Red Devils. Brady Powers scored first after a nice run to give the Panthers a 7-0 lead. After another defensive stop, Luke Guerisco made a great catch from KD Tennison in the back of the end zone to extend the lead by 14. After an amazing interception by Exavier Hinton that gave the ball back to the Panthers inside the 10 yard line, Brady Powers bulled his way into the end zone for another score. The defense then stopped the Red Devils on their next drive to force them to punt. Cameron Easley then had an electrifying return for 55 yards to extend the Panther lead to 28-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.
The second half started as the first half did as Trent Greggson returned the opening half kick return 89 yards for a score. The Panthers played stifling defense in the second half with multiple sacks by Carson Manasse, Brady Powers, and Exavier Hinton. KD Tennison had a great second half hookup through the air to Braden Hermon for a 35 yards touchdown. Tennison ended the night with a 30 yard TD run late in the fourth quarter. The Spring Hill Panthers JV is now 4-1 on the season. The Spring Hill Panthers will be in a bye week next week but will open district play October 12th against Gladewater at Panther Stadium.
