The JuniorHigh Lady Panthers wrapped up their great season Friday night in Gladewater with a District Track meet full of exciting Track and Field action
Arriving into the Field Events the Lady Panthers wanted to make their presence known and that they were there to compete.
Some major contributions came from Tyra Tatum winning the TripleJump with a jump of over 33′!
Erin Gregson and AnnaBelle Casimiro went first and second in the Polevault,
while Kylie Hinson chunked the discus to a big personal best throw and a second place finish in a very talented Discus field.
Also throwing strong in the discus and shotput was Rachel Petree who finished 3rd in both events.
Tai Reid leaped to 3rd place in the Longjump and Kenzie Gee hopped a personal best to finish 5th in Triple Jump beating 24 other jumpers in the district.
And it was Samantha Schott who got the Panthers fired up by winning the PoleVault while simultaneously placing 3rd in the 800- talk about some grit!
Big time relays and solid individual performances highlighted the blazing hot day of running events.
Tai Reid dashed her way to 2nd and 3rd place in the 200meter dash and 100meter dash,
Caylee Caldwell sparked up a fighting 100Meter dash placing 4th,
Erin Gregson won the 400Meter Dash!
and Tyra Tatum won the 200Meter dash!
all 4 showing off some spectacular sprinting ability against a very formidable field.
Kenzie Gee placed 6th in the 100Hurdles, Sadie Sparks placed 6th in the 400Meter dash.
Riley Johnson won the 2400 and placed 3rd in the mile, also Maz Morton placed 5th in the 2400
And Samantha Schott got 2nd in the mile.
The day was hot and the sun was high and there was one event left on the track: The Mile Relay.
Anna Hammer, Jenna Owens, Sadie Sparks, and Samatha Schott relayed a solid 4th place finish,
and Haley Yoder, Tyra Tatum, Riley Johnson, Erin Gregson ran hard winning and becoming the Mile Relay District Champions!
