Multiple Teams · Lady Panthers compete in Sabine relays

Last night the SpringHill Lady Panthers traveled to the Saaabine to compete in the Cardinal Relays.
The travel squad was light due to a soccer play off game and Pacesetter try outs, but the ladies that competed gave it everything they had to finish 5th out of 8 teams from around the area.
Highlights from early in the day included Madison Vaughn finishing 1st! in the Highjump and Emily Alahmed jumping 5th both putting their Highjump marks at the top of the district.
Also coming up strong once again was the throwing duo of Liz Whitwell and Hannah Methvin placing top three in the discus and shotput to lead the team into the running events.
Some solid running in the sprint department came from both the sprint relays racing to place anchored by senior Destiny Edwards and some solid individual efforts by Jayla Landrum and Kayla Crowe placing in both the 100 and 200meter races.
Also the all-freshman mile relay put together some good legs against some seasoned teams to finish 5th overall.
The highlight of the night though once again came to the two talented freshman hurdlers Ashlee Blake and Lexi Gossage.
Ashlee winning both hurdle races! and Lexi placing 3rd and 5th giving them both some top times in the district.
