Game Recap

The Spring Hill Panthers JV football team traveled to Pleasant Grove Thursday night to take on the Hawks. The Panthers started the game slow and gave up an early touchdown drive in the first quarter. Brady Powers responded on offense with determined running that led to a Panther touchdown to tie the game in the first quarter. The Panthers defense went back to work but gave up a long touchdown pass to give Pleasant Grove the lead going into half.
The second half started with a very determined drive by KD Tennison and Brady Powers. Powers capped the drive off with a five yard touchdown run giving the Panthers some much needed momentum coming out of halftime. The ensuing kickoff was then returned for a Hawk touchdown. KD Tennison then responded by throwing a perfectly placed ball to Brendan Herman for a touchdown. The Spring Hill defense then made a great late game stop to give the ball back to the offense for the game winning drive. The Panthers made a late game mistake to turn the ball over back to the Hawks to end the game. The Spring Hill Panthers played a hard fought game and just came up short and lost 19-27. The Panthers will host Huntington next Thursday at Panther stadium at 7pm.
